Steve Langenecker always knew he would be an artist. And from the moment he began to use his mother's acrylic paints at age nine to the oil painting he finished yesterday, he has been fulfilling that dream.
As a teacher, Steve recognized that perhaps the most important 21st century skill his students needed practice in was problem-solving and critical thinking. In that spirit, while "playing" around with materials in preparation for his class of 6th graders, Steve noticed a roll of aluminum duct tape and began to paint it. After trying different paint "recipes" he found one that was able to stick and give the luminous colors he was seeking. Aluminart tape was born. Steve continues to create new colors and processes to attain the most possible choices for crafters and artists to use. And he especially loves witnessing all of the unique and wonderful creations that Aluminart tape users have arrived at.
